The event kicked off with 2×3 hours long, hands-on training sessions for new Mautic users. The training was designed as an interactive business simulation focused on cold emails, nurturing campaigns, and WooCommerce integrations with Mautic.

Then, from June 21st to June 22nd, attendees from around the world gathered virtually to learn, share, and connect. The conference was filled with inspiring keynotes, informative sessions, and engaging networking opportunities.

The conference kicked off with a welcome address by our keynote speaker, Dmitry Kudrenko – CEO of Stripo – who set the tone for the rest of the event. Attendees were then treated to a series of informative sessions covering a wide range of topics, including marketing automation, digital marketing, and customer experience.

At the core of the event, like always, was “The Mautic Update” by project lead Ruth Cheesley: A comprehensive roundup of everything Mautic, including some breaking news and unique insights regarding the Mautic project as well as the product.

Sessions within the event were led by industry experts who shared their knowledge and insights, providing attendees with valuable takeaways that they could apply to their businesses.

Integration, plugins and DXP

Aligned with Mautic’s next steps in the world of the Digital Experience (DXP), many tracks approached topics regarding Mautic integrations, plugins and using the API. Luiz E. O. Fonseca, for instance, had lots of tips for end-user marketers to enhance their workflows using low-code, open-source tool nodemation (n8n).

Leo Schuler took a look at a more code-based solution for marketers dealing with B2B strategies. By hooking into Mautic’s core and custom scripts, his session showcased an idea for managing duplicate form submits.

Also focusing on managing leads and enhancing nurturing campaigns, Rodrigo Demétrio’s track showcased how to connect Mautic stages to a sales pipeline with a new Mautic plugin. With a drag-and-drop interface, the plugin offers a sales funnel that can also connect Mautic to other CRM tools.

It’s all about the customer

Who doesn’t like to play games and have fun? From this starting point, Vladimir Mladenov presented two case studies of how gamification can enhance a marketing campaign. Using Mautic focus items alongside tools such as forms and segments, the examples showcased wheel of fortune, quiz and memory game options for lead acquisition and qualification.

Networking and community building

One of the additional highlights of the conference was the networking opportunities. Attendees were able to connect with each other through the conference platform, allowing them to build relationships and share ideas. The virtual networking sessions were a huge hit, providing attendees with an opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals from around the world.

Also well received were the different language tracks enabling localized communities to gather and build out ties and foster regional connections. Discussions about how to strengthen local engagement and the surrounding communities brought to light quite interesting ideas on how to regionally strengthen the ecosystem and make more people aware of the value Mautic could bring to the specific local challenges.

Another highlight of the conference was the virtual expo hall, where attendees could explore the latest products and services from a variety of vendors. The expo hall was a great place to learn about new technologies and solutions that could help attendees take their businesses to the next level.

Overall, the Mautic Conference Global 2023 was a huge success. Attendees left the conference feeling inspired, informed, and connected.

Missed something? There’s still time

We would like to thank our sponsors, speakers, and attendees for making this event a success. We are already looking forward to next year’s conference and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Mautic community.

If you missed the conference, don’t worry! You can still access the recorded sessions by purchasing a ticket as the event will be open for the next week, or you can wait a few weeks until we release the videos. We hope to see you at our next event!

Mautic’s next in-person conference is looking for a location! https://mautic.org/blog/mautics-next-person-conference-looking-location Wed, 30 Mar 2022 14:28:25 +0000 https://www.mautic.org/mautics-next-person-conference-looking-location/ Our in-person conferences are a great opportunity for Mautic users in a region to gather, learn and network. Last year we held our first ever in-person conference in Hasselt, Belgium which was a great success – we had some fantastic speakers, and an extremely productive community sprint where all teams got a lot done and we welcomed several new contributors.

In the Mautic Community we have decided to rotate continents each year for our in-person conference, which gives an opportunity for local communities to host the event.

Would you like to have the next Mautic in-person conference in your country?

We are inviting you to submit a proposal before the end of April 2022 for consideration – we will make the final decision during our community sprint in Budapest. The conference will happen in November 2022, but we are flexible on the actual dates.

What do I need to consider if I want to propose a location?

Importantly, we cannot hold the event in any European country – so you need to be outside Europe. Other than that, here are some of our requirements:

  • A team of people who are going to work together to run the event
    • This does not have to be a big team, but should be more than one person

  • A city where the event will take place – ideally someone in the team should be ‘on the ground’ and live in or near the area
    • Well connected for national and international travel connections
    • A good range of reasonably priced accommodation
    • A strong Mautic community presence

  • A venue where you think the event could be hosted over 1-3 days
    • A large plenary room for talks (or smaller rooms if the event would be multi-track)
    • Breakout rooms for community sprints, follow up discussions
    • An area for networking between sessions

  • Local interest from sponsors and attendees
    • There should be at least one local sponsor who is interested in financially supporting the event

If you have an idea for a location please submit it before the end of April here:

Upcoming Mautic Conference: Please help the organizers! https://mautic.org/blog/upcoming-mautic-conference-please-help-organizers Tue, 14 Dec 2021 08:07:03 +0000 https://www.mautic.org/upcoming-mautic-conference-please-help-organizers/ Our official Mautic Conferences have quickly become a central factor to Mautic users and service providers. To make these events happen, we (i.e. the Mautic community and Open Source project) rely on volunteers to prepare and to run them.

Today I’d like to ask you to become a part of that team! For 2022, we have made that much easier by clearly defining and explaining the various roles and tasks – see this overview. In short, we need all sorts of skills.

Please take a brief look: Would you consider helping us for

  • Mautic Conference Global (online, June 8th-9th, 2022) or for the
  • Mautic Conference (on-premise, November 2022, location yet to be defined)

with any of those tasks?

That’s great! Please simply send me an email (or contact me on Slack) and let me know your thoughts (or questions, too).

Of course, this is completely non-committal. And you will have all the assistance you want, from those who had the same role in previous Mautic Conferences. There is a lot of experience already, so all it really takes is your willingness to contribute a bit of your time and passion for Mautic.

Thank you very much in advance!

Ruth Cheesley
Mautic Project Lead

P.S. Can’t volunteer yourself? Please discuss with your colleagues, maybe somebody else might be able to help Mautic here!
Or help us financially, instead, by sponsoring the event. Interested? Please contact me via email or Slack, see above.
